Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 27 August 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using StudyShift, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Purpose of the service

StudyShift provides study organisation, planning, course-information management, AI-assisted learning support, grade calculations, experience evidence and optional reminder features. It is not an educational institution and does not award qualifications, marks, credits or Recognition of Prior Learning.

3. Your institution is authoritative

Official information from your institution, programme, lecturer or assessment documentation takes priority over StudyShift. You are responsible for verifying deadlines, submission requirements, academic-integrity rules, grading information and progression requirements.

4. AI-generated content

AI responses may contain errors, omissions or unsuitable suggestions. They are provided as assistance, not as guaranteed academic advice. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and deciding whether they are appropriate. StudyShift must not be used to misrepresent AI-generated work as your own where doing so breaches academic-integrity rules.

5. Accounts

You are responsible for information submitted through your account and for keeping account access secure. You must not use another person’s account without permission or attempt to access another user’s data.

6. Uploaded materials

You must have the right to upload and process materials you place in StudyShift. You retain responsibility for respecting copyright, confidentiality, institutional rules and any restrictions that apply to course content or workplace evidence.

7. Acceptable use

You must not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass security controls, probe for other users’ information, automate abusive levels of requests, upload malicious content, use the service unlawfully or use it to facilitate academic misconduct.

8. Reminders

Push notifications and reminders are convenience features only. Delivery can fail because of device settings, browser restrictions, network conditions, expired subscriptions or service interruptions. You remain responsible for tracking official academic deadlines.

9. Availability

StudyShift may change, suspend or discontinue features as the service develops. Continuous availability is not guaranteed and maintenance, third-party outages or technical faults may temporarily affect access.

10. Grades, forecasts and RPL

Grade forecasts are mathematical or model-assisted estimates based on the information entered and do not guarantee an academic outcome. RPL tools help organise evidence but do not guarantee that an institution will award recognition, credit or exemption.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StudyShift is provided on an “as available” basis and is not responsible for academic outcomes caused by inaccurate user-entered information, AI errors, missed notifications, institutional changes or failure to verify official requirements. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Privacy

Use of personal information is described in the StudyShift Privacy Policy. By using the service, you acknowledge that processing necessary to operate your account and requested features will occur.

13. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the service evolves. Material changes should be reflected by changing the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, presenting updated terms to users.
